Tomac and RLX Polo Sport Join Forces for the 2003 Racing Season

Tomac and RLX Polo Sport have teamed up for the 2003 racing season. The RLX Polo Sport Mountain Biking Team will be riding the Tomac Buckshot as well as the Tomac Revolver at National and World Cup events in North America and Europe. Mountain biking festivals and 24-hour races in America are also on the agenda for the team to keep them close to their roots.

John Tomac expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying, « It is great to see Tomac Bicycles back in professional racing circuit. I also look forward to working alongside the team at the races in 03. This will be an excellent proving ground to our x-country product and it will also allow Tomac to keep up the forefront of product development by using the RLX Polo Sport pilots as extra R &D test pilots. ?

Jimena Florit, an Argentinean, who lives in San Diego, CA, is back on the 2003 teams roster. She was the winner of four nationals, and overall winner of NORBA Championship Series 2002. Jeremy Horgan Kobelski, a 2002 U.S. NORBA National Champion, and Dave Wiens, a former US National Champion, and Hall of Famer, are also returning to the roster. The rest of the roster will soon be announced.
Franklin Henry, Boulder, CO, is the team’s manager. He has been part of the team since the middle 5,055 cms.

Tomac is part the American Bicycle Group, a Chattanooga-based company that is also the parent company for Litespeed and Merlin Metalworks as well as Tomac and Quintana Roo.
