FOX Racing Shox has learned that some individuals and/or entities have modified FOX forks in order to fit mountain bike wheels larger than 66 cm nominal diameter. To fit a 74 cm tire into the fork, one modification is to remove material from the lower leg crossing bridge. This modification will eventually cause the lower fork legs to be separated at the crossbridge (i.e. The cross bridge may fracture, causing bicycle instability or crash that can lead to serious injury or death.

Use the RIGHT FORK FOR YOUR JOB
FOX has the 32 F29 fork, which is specifically designed for 74cm front wheels. You can choose from three travel options for the F29: 80mm, 100mm and 120mm. This is great for tall wheels. The F29 FOX fork is only available for use with 74cm wheels. It is clearly marked F74c on the right leg. Only use the F29 with 74 cm wheels. Like all FOX forks you should not modify, misapply or ride on FOX F29 forks that have been improperly modified or applied.
